HOUTEN BORD

2023

'Houten bord' means 'Wooden plate' in Dutch.

This is a dining object made with wood collected from private gardens in the Amsterdam Area and Dutch local linen, grown, harvested, and woven in the Netherlands.

It was for an experimental gastronomy event held in Basel, Switzerland, hosted by Steinbeisser in 2023.

​

This work, made with locally sourced materials and finished with Ottchil, confirmed the possibility of creating design objects using local Dutch materials.
